Dez Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 so if you read my story in my other threads you can see where i'm coming from. but to add to that, after my breakup my ex left it open for us to get back together in the future, but now she changed her mind. i kept forcing and begging because this was my first relationship and i didn't know how to properly deal with the heartache. she says she really doesn't want to get back with me again because i can't give her space. she can't trust me on that and doesn't see herself trusting me on bigger things. so now for the first time i'm going to leave her alone and wait for her to contact me. would you say i ruined my chances?? is there a chance she would change her mind if she see's i changed and granted her wish??

The very first serious relationship and probably your first love is the hardest to lose because of the expectations and the chemisty you both had. Im sure you dont want to here this because I never did but the chances of first loves working are pretty slim from my knowledge. Its probably possible to get back with her but its almost always the wrong thing to do. I thought that my first love and I would get things to work after multiple attemps to getting back together but they always failed and made things progressively worse. Getting back together can happen but I can sit here and tell you from past experiences that doing it will only delay the inevitable and possibly make the pain that much worse when the break up happens again down the road.
