I wrote about this girl I had been seeing for about a month a couple weeks ago. I wanted to be exclusive, and she wasn't sure. I knew she was talking to at least one other guy if not a couple and I told her that I wasn't going to wait for her because she had been waffling between being exclusive and not wanting to. She just seemed like she didn't want to get tied down. After I kind of pushed her into a decision, she finally said she saw nothing more than friends, I respected the decision but said that's not a good idea right now. Maybe in time but I need some space and I thought that would be the end of it for at least a couple months.

After not even 2 weeks, she starts texting me again. I'm very skeptical about it. She is very friendly and outgoing and I'm trying to decide what her intentions are. I work with her, but have been able to avoid her for. Although yesterday I saw her in passing and only exchanged pleasantries. Basically the jist of the texting is her asking how have you been? And it was good to see you at work with a smily face. I have kept it extremely short so far, one or two word answers, long pauses between texts. I was extremely close to not even responding but I honestly would not mind giving it another try, I'm just trying to protect myself. I do not want to be played.

I'm not trying to sound arrogant here but I have been told many times what a catch I am and all my friends tell me she's not even worth it, so I'm wondering if she is regretting her decision.

I don't have much experience in this so my question is basically what should I do? What do you think her intentions are? I've been learning lately that once something is done with a girl romantically, it's seems very tough to get back to that level so is it even worth trying? There had to have been something for her to say she only wanted to be friends, so what would change?

Thanks

If you can handle being around her and nothing romantic happening, then you can feel it out and see where it goes. If it's going to bother you too much if she's not interested, I'd just let it pass and watch her continue to bounce around.
