dmoore Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 What's the best way to proceed when someone you like and who you thought liked you suddenly stops calling you back? This happened after only a few dates. It happened once after we had set up a casual date - she called back a few days after, apologized, & everything seemed cool again. It then happened again recently in a similar situation but I haven't heard back this time. Should I just forget about her & not try and contact her? Should I call or text message to just see what's up / maybe she didn't get the message? I've never really been in this situation before so I thought I'd try and get some advice about the content of this message, too. Obviously if she just forgot about me then I just need to move on, but if she's just busy & wants to stay casual then I don't want to ruin something with someone that just likes to start slow by calling & causing a fuss?
bluechocolate Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Are you saying she broke a second date with you & hasn't called back to explain? Should I call or text message to just see what's up / maybe she didn't get the message? << People always think that maybe they didn't get the message - those things seem to work perfectly find at all other times, don't they? >> Even if you're just going to be friends she owes you an explanation - that's what friends do - and they usually apologise about it too. I think she may not be interested that much, sorry. In your shoes I would wait for her to contact me & in the meantime I'd forget about her.
