Hey all, quick intro my girlfriend and I split over two months ago because we were too young and wanted to explore (we were each others first loves). I'm 18 and she's 19, and we'll be going to the same university in a few weeks. For the past 6 or 7 weeks, she has initiated contact a few times, and it has always been friendly but I tried to keep i brief. She sometimes made references to our past (sexual jokes basically), but I never really thought about it too much. Last night, however, she texted me and we ended up talking for almost 4 hours. She flirted a lot, complimented me, and said that we would still have more experiences together. My mindset was always to stay friends once it was healthy then hopefully try our relationship again again someday when we were older and more mature. Does it sound like she still has interest? If not immediately, then in a possible future? Thanks guys!

Make sure you're not a fall back. Contact that is, shall we say, "sexualized" doesn't sound meaningful. Wait until she expresses regret about the breakup, and some interest that is deeper than bodily.

Make sure her interest is worth the potentially reinjured heart, also, don't respond for a few days and see if she stays interested, or if she was maybe even just...drunk?

Watch out, it seems like she might be trying to lure you back in for a specific reason. Keep your distance and unless she tells you she wants you back and she thinks the breakup was a mistake then if you want to, you can proceed to see if she's being honest with you, but from what you said in your thread you broke up to go have your own experiences because you're still young. So the way i see it, there is no reason for you to try and reconnect with her.

Definitely not drunk but I'm not looking into it too much. I'm in no rush, just thought it was an interesting development and was wondering what could be going on. Probably just boredom, but I suppose only time will tell...
