MrCode Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 So me and this girl met a week and a half ago at a club. I end up getting her number at the end of the night and we have been texting casually since then. She has initiated to meet up and hang out a few times but I have been busy. Just yesterday night she suggested we go to the movies. I have not texted back yet since I saw the message after a nap, and thought I will call her sometime today to arrange something. I'm free Friday to do that, but on Saturday my friends and I are going out. Should I invite her out Saturday or go ahead and arrange a movie date (assuming she is free on Friday)? I could do both but this is our first time meeting up again, and don't want to rush things by doing too much. I want to keep it fresh. Let me know what you guys think.
ForeverHopeful1 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I would try to have a date on Friday, if its in the cards. Then you can ask her on Friday if she would like to come out with you and your friends on Saturday. If she is busy Friday, ask her about Saturday then. I would prefer I get to know a man before he introduces me to his friends. I personally think having a nice night out with just you would be best first. I remember trying to date a guy years ago. He invited me out. I was interested. He was nervous so he invited friends out. I got to know his friends, but didn't get to know him. I wished at the time he and I had our alone time first and then a "meet and greet" with friends a few dates in. I didn't even know if I fancied him and he was already introducing me to his friends. It was odd. I would avoid having friends there for your first date.
sdraw108 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Definitely don't invite her out with your friends on a second date! That's way too soon - she'll be wanting to see and get to know you, not have to make polite conversation with a bunch of strangers. 1
