Basically my girlfriend and I have been seeing each other for quite some time now and she is dreadfully afraid of getting pregnant.

While this is a completely reasonable fear, and I respect it completely, she takes it much too far and I was just wondering if you could provide any information or a website where I could get information.

We are both still virgins, but she worries every time we make out or take a shower together or just our genitals come in somewhat close proximity, even through fabric at times, she gets scared later.

My main concern is not sexual really, I care for my girlfriend a lot and it just bothers me to see her scared and upset over this so often. I have tried to reassure her as much as possible, but I thought maybe hearing it from others or more knowledgable sources would calm her.

Currently we dont use any form of birth control, but as I said, we don't actually have sex. She is planning to go on birth control soon which I hope will calm her considerably.

Anyways, any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend your girlfriend make an appointment with a gyno doc... a great place to start would be planned parenthood.

They have a lot of informative phamplets as well as counselors to help answer any and all questions she may have regarding sexual health and reproduction.

Like Merin stated, have her speak to her doctor. It will be easier for her to ask questions directly and receive correct answers.

well as pocky's signature says..."always pee after sex"

also, i think this is interesting, even with all conditions optimum, there is olny like a 20-25% chance of conception in the month.

i agree with your girl speaking with her gyn about her fears. Hopefully the doc will be someone she is comfortable talking with.

it sounds like your girlfriend might have misinformation about sex and conception, i agree with the rest of the forum, she needs to speak to a doctor and get it cleared up in her mind. A lot of the time sex ed fails to teach people to be careful, but it seems like your girlfriend has had the opposite reaction and is being overly careful!
