All I can say is that I am not surprised that you came empty handed (and richer in experience with weirdoes) after a summer on POF. If I break up with my current BF, I'll only do meetup and other live events.

My understanding of the term is that it's quite different from just having an open relationship; that the guys who are into it like watching their s/o bang other dudes while they remain largely without sex with their s/o.
