During the course of my 3 year A my MM has announced every 6 months or so that our physical relationship has to end. We abstain for a month or two and then the sex starts again. His Catholic guilt overwhelms him but, not enough to end the relationship. Somehow he can reconcile all the lies with the exception of the sex. I am pleased to announce that I am out of the fog!! His announcement three weeks ago included his sharing with me that every time he makes love to me he feels bad. He will never feel bad about making love to me again, I AM DONE!!!!! And I feel wonderful. Thank you for your support during the last few years.

I'm so glad to hear your resolve. While the words must sting, they certainly slapped you back into reality. You deserve to have a man who feels good about being with you.

Glad the fog has lifted and you reached your 'enough is enough' phase. Aka, you finally found courage, and realized you needed to respect yourself more.

 

Do take care of yourself Bailey. It's been quite a rough ride for you overall, you've had to deal with a lot of pain other than just your (soon to be) xMM. Wish you the best and lots of happiness in your future.

I think this is just fabulous!!! Good luck on your path to healing! And if you ever get those pangs of missing him get out a list of all the reasons why he is not good for you ;)

i remember that moment when the fog started to clear and sanity started creeping in... it's such a good feeling :)
