MrTurk Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 How many of you have issues with people that text and drive? If you just started dating someone new, and you are a passenger in their car....and they text and drive...or fiddle with their phone while driving....would you see that as a major issue in your book?

If you just started dating someone new, and you are a passenger in their car....and they text and drive...or fiddle with their phone while driving....would you see that as a major issue in your book? Would I stop dating them? No. Would I tell them to seriously stop doing that and that I hope they take what I'm saying to heart because I don't want anyone getting hurt? Yes.
fortyninethousand322 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Texting at a red light or stop sign on an empty road is harmless. Texting or fiddling with your phone while actually driving? Very dangerous. I make it a habit of mine to point out all the dangerous drivers I see when I'm out and about (I'm the safest driver in the world by the way...literally). Either to myself or to the person I'm driving with. So it's a pet peeve of mine if you regularly engage in behavior that will one day lead someone to be hurt or killed.
Col1 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Automatic dealbreaker if my date were driving and texting. If I saw her do this, I'd politely ask her to pull-over and I'd get out. It's not my responsibility to teach a date about basic safety precautions.

Even if you ask them not to do it while you are in the car...I bet they still do it when you arent around.
