Mrfr Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Aghhhh! She broke it 2 days ago. I only gave a quick reply as it was about a party we were both supposed to go to. I just want to hear from her!
Legatus Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 You probably won't and by replying you just kicked yourself in the ..... as now you have higher expectations. Stop expecting & stop replying! 1
HopelessRomantick Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Welcome back to NC-Square One. It's where I'm at too. She emailed me last week to say she was out of her abusive relationship and to apologize for all the pain she caused me. She also felt the need to turn the conversation back to her and say how much guilt she has for what she did to me, how confused and emotionally destroyed from everything she's done and the abuse [physical and verbal] she dealt with from the guy she left me for.... The one thing she never said was that she wanted me back I replied a very simple, glad you are safe, thanks for letting me know. Now 1 week later, yup.... I'm miserable again watching and waiting for her next email, etc. So MrFr, you are not alone. Let's build up the NC reserve once again.
Author Mrfr Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Right, I can do this *hopes* It's just a text I felt like I needed to reply to, I was fine over the weekend and now the fun of going out is over I feel awful again.

Yea I know. Well, start planning next weekend's fun! And you can do stuff that is fun and distracting M thru F too. I'll hit the gym hard this week. The endorphin rush is always a great distraction.
Legatus Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 @Mrfr you DON'T need to do anything. You felt the temptation and you went for it. Now you can think about it and make sure you won't repeat it. You know now how it makes you feel. my ex wrote to me today for example. at the beginning I wanted to reply to her a little sarcasm, but then I thought "why bother!" So my advice: don't bother. Stay strong and think that with every "not-reply" you're closer to get out of that tunnel 1
Author Mrfr Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 It made me feel good at the time, speaking to her again. But now, worse, so yeah I learnt my lesson! 1
