jerryh Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I was just watching this film again last night, and thought arent all us here a jay Gatsby? we badly want a second chance and willing to become whatever it takes to get her or him back. i think this film, for the people who have seen it, shows that maybe second chances arent always the right thing to do, had he moved on he would have been happier, and instead waited hoping, becoming a better man, but he still could never get her love. Just a thought.
supaflyz Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Yes I have seen the movie and read the book. It's a really good book that I read back in high school. For a moment in time I did wanted to be the Great Gatsby. I fantasize about being rich with a huge mansion. I wanted to invite all of my classmates and friends over for a party hoping she would be there. But my motive wasn't to get her back. My motive was to hope she wants to talk to me after she saw what I am now and the stuff I had. Then I would proceed to expose what kind of person she was and what she did to me after the break up infront of others! lol. Yeah I'm bad. At that time I was just so mad at her for what she did and said.
Author jerryh Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Yes i always think that too/bruce wayne. Its just everyone here including myself would do anything to get their ex back and just found it compelling to know that maybe its best to let go. Funnily enough it was the last film i watched with my ex
