Jord11 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 She broke up with me wow in January, I loved her with all my heart, i didn't see it coming she just told me she don't love me anymore and left, I have been in nc since February, not 1 single word since then, I deleted her off of facebook, I thought I was fine and feelings are pretty much gone, till I looked at her picture again, wow I just realized how much I loved that girl, I still miss her, damn it hurts, will she ever contact me again who knows, will I respond, don't know yet
JDPT Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Good and bad moments that's all it is. I was asked once, do you like to put your hand on fire? clearly not. We tend to dwell and perhaps even relive the times we had with our ex in this case looking at a picture. What I'm trying to say is, we all have weak moments and there is no need to exacerbate your current situation by looking at a picture which will clearly remind you and put you in a bad emotional state. Reroute your thoughts when you think of her, ground yourself and learn to forgive her and yourself, find peace and start your healing process. I was dumped off a 5 year relationship roughly three months ago, I know how difficult this is but I also know that if we do the grunt work day in and day out things will slowly start to get better, I wish you the best.
mtnbiker3000 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 OP - I feel ya. I am at the same stage as you. Got dumped in late Jan/early Feb and been NC since mid March. I know it's hard!! But, I think this is just a bump in the road for you. Surely, you must have healed quite a bit in that amount of time. I would advise not looking at pics yet. Clearly it is still a trigger. I don't look either, as I know I would have a similar set back... Hang in there and continue your healing!!
