jcrew11 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I've never really attended any Church but am thinking about becoming more spiritual, as well as finding a good place to meet singles. Do you guys have success meeting women or men at church? Is it too much pressure to date or feel other members are judging your relationship? What is the protocol for dating or picking up women at church? Are some religions more open to dating like Unitarianism, which seems more casual and free swinging.
Brunettie Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I wouldn't go to a church with your sole intent being to pick up women... But if you attend a church, there are various ways to meet and interact with women, yes. Some churches have small groups that meet on a weekly basis. Or a young adult group that meets at someone's house. 1
KathyM Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 It's good that you're interested in exploring your spiritual side, and you will meet people, both men and women, who can become good friends. One of my extended family members met his wife through the small group that he attended. Small groups provide encouragement, support, and spiritual guidance, as well as friendship, and many small groups become very close knit friends for life. Most small groups are co-ed, although some are just men or just women. Churches also often have singles groups for church singles to mingle and meet others.
davyvfr Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 My parents met through a church singles group. Everyone hooked up and is still married.
Lansing Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Sure sounds like you are more concerned with the "meeting women" part then exploring religion part if you are asking about which faith will give you better odds with the ladies... Personally, I used to be more religious and went to church every Sunday. I have fallen out of that. Regarding women, I only ever went out on a few dates with this one girl I met through a "speed dating" thing run by a youth group. She turned out to be really religious and a bit (i.e. a lot) too crazy for me. A lot of the people I met (both men and women) were socially awkward but I have met some friends that I still keep in touch with through religious groups.
