What were the most bizarre reasons someone broke up with you or you with them so they stayed in your mind even today?

Mine : Religious differences so we kept it quiet from everyone and jealousy. His mate ended up actually liking me but he still refused to reveal his mate the truth about us although he was green in face from jealousy.

Of course that was the end of it I threw him out of my life and he half way helped me by running away ...

Those sound like fairly standard reasons, not bizarre ones.

I once dated a girl briefly who told me she dumped an ex boyfriend because he bought her flowers that she didn't like (without knowing that she wouldn't like that type of flower). I imagine he thought that was pretty bizarre!

You might be right each person see's some situation differently.

To me bizarre was this after break up:

Him saying if his mate actually found out he hid truth about us.

From me he will never speak to me again incredible right?

Now that has to count for bizarre

I was never given a reason. When I got home from a deployment she was gone. Never seen her since.

No. In various conversations over about a month or so of dating, I'd told him 4-5 times how much I hate them. HATE THEM. Raw tomatoes, anyway. I'd explained, "I hate raw tomatoes, like chunks of raw tomato. No tomatoes on my salad, no pico de gallo, no tomatoes on my sandwich. No raw tomatoes."

One day, he made me dinner. On his way home from work, he'd called to ask if there was anything I was in the mood for, and to remind him if there were things I didn't like/couldn't eat. I reminded him.

So, he made me dinner, and while waiting to take the chicken out of the oven, he served me a caprese salad. (That's a salad of sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and balsamic and oil.) I was appreciative that he was making me dinner, but kinda balked at the tomatoes. I tried to eat it, because he had after all put in the effort, but was repulsed. He asked what was wrong. I said, "Remember how when you were going into the store, you asked me again whether there was anything I hated?" and he said, "Yeah, you said no shellfish and no raw tomato."

I looked down at the TOMATO salad and kinda winced.

He said, "You said you didn't like chunks or raw tomato. You didn't say anything about slices of raw tomato."

We still dated for another couple weeks (and other similar things happened...don't even get me started on the "Mexican food" situation), but my lord... that was a symptom of a much bigger problem.

Actually I've come to find out it's a fairly common occurrence. Thank you though.

Yeah, but she's been on my friend's FB page asking about me. She's a fat slob now. Sweet justice.
