Would you go?

Hi there,

 

I met some guy two weeks ago ( friday night) at a bar. We spoke for a bit, he got my number and "text" me about four/five days later- on Thursday precisely. I responded and we continued texting ( texts were sent about 3-4 hours apart). The second day, he started another conversation by text. I was wondering "umm do people not make calls anymore"? Lol. What struck me as weird was the fact that he was attempting to have conversations via tex. He sent fairly long text messages!!!!! Anyway, he asked to meet up for coffee or a drink and said I should let him know when I'm I'm ready to go. I responded by saying itd be nice but HE should let me know. He said okay. A day went by and he didn't message me.

 

The day after , he sent a message asking if we could meet up on

Wednesday after work. I responded by saying that: Wednesday was no good, but Thursday or Friday would be fine. He replied saying : that Friday

would be great, around 7.30pm. He asked where ild like to go and said that he wants to be a gentleman so he would allow me pick the venue. I said :

I'd have a think and get back to him + if I wasn't able to think about a venue, ild delegate it back to him. Anyway he continued to send me text

messages everyday. So on average per day, we would send about 5-6 text messages in total. Not a lot but not too sparse either.

 

Anywayyyyyy on Tues, in his usual style he sent me a message or maybe I

responded to a message he sent the previous day. He sent the last text message which I responded to at noon the next day ( Wed). Well I didnt hear

from him on Wed until about 9pm at night. I responded to his message on Thurs ( noon) and asked if he had come up with any idea? Anyway he didn't reply until night- around 10pm. He responded with : "haha thought you were the lady with the plan? Guess somewhere like xyz then?

 

Well it's Friday morning where I am and we are supposed to meet at 7.30pm tonight and I haven't responded to the text because:

A) I'm ready to take or it or leave it. Having read so many awful stories here on LS, I really don't have the time for any stress.

B) he hasn't called. I put this down to maybe, maybe "shyness". Plus I don't really remember what he looks like lol! It was dark. I remember he was good looking but I can't remember his face exactly.

C) I feel a bit sceptical meeting up with someone who I haven't spoken on the phone with.

 

Should I just let it go and ignore his text? What should I do? I don't want to go to the venue and then he doesnt show up. I mean, we haven't even spoken on the phone!

 

P's: I met him through a mutual friend.

Jeeeez talk about hard work!

 

When you agreed on the day and he asked for a venue I would have suggested one. Partly because I like coffee and might as well drink the one I actually like and partly because.... erm... why not?

 

He probably forgot that you delegated the coffee shop choice back to him.

 

If you are uncomfortable with texts then you should call, that part is easy.

 

I guess I don't get why you had to complicate things too much? Now you will be sitting at home on Friday instead of having a coffee with a good looking guy

Are you aware that your phone can also make outgoing phonecalls?
