I am a rising Sophomore in college. I attend a military college & my ex girlfriend attends a college 3000 miles away. We dated all through freshman year but just over summer break, she (my girlfriend of 3 years) broke up with me. She said she needed time to herself & to "find herself". I took it rough at first but then realized I was going to let it go & understand. I did not talk to her for 4 days & she texted me saying she wanted to see me & we met & she cried & said she didn't want things to be bad & didnt want us to End on bad terms. We texted a little & then I went back to school & didn't text her for another 5 days & she called me crying saying that she missed me & missed talking & was sad I couldn't see her etc. she said she wanted to come visit me soon. I've talked to her a little bit about what happened & what she wants & she wasnt to clear about us seeing other people but got upset when i asked. Can someone explain to me what she means by all of this and why she broke up with me? It is more difficult for me because she goes to a normal college & is in a sorority so there are plenty of options, whereas not much for me to find a new girl to get my mind off of her if we were to completely break up. What steps should i take? Obviously No Contact worked because she came back crying, but what should I do the next time she does that? She also wants to text me often, but more of as a "friend" text, which I don't like. Should I continue to do this? Will it help me get her back? What are the best steps to get her back & have her understand what she did was wrong? Thanks for the help

Its simple she doesnt want you back because she could have told you to get back together after the NC...what she wants is your friendship..she wants you as a bff so she can get over you without losing you in her life...if you want her back you can either take the risk of NC or be friends with her for sometime and after sometime let her know you still have feelings for her.
