Right i have finally done one week no contact, i know its pathetic to alot here who have done years, but was a big step for me an the longest i have never talked to her in 6 years, including the five year relationship. I have experienced alot of emotions, especially the mornings which have been extremely tough and have dreamed about her every night since. She has contacted me maybe a handul of times sober and three times drunk in the 6 weeks so she doesnt seem interested at all, even with that one phonecall that hurt alot. But heres to two weeks no contact next week hopefully, no one said it was going to be easy but has to be done.

It's one step at a time, and it slowly gets easier. Good on you for taking care of yourself.

Thanks man still finding it really tough but have to try get on. Her mother was chatting to mine today, i feel like i should thank her and her family for always being so welcoming and i always got on with her, ex is out of the country atm too, bad idea?

I posted this on your other thread, but my advice is definitely don't do it. Her mom will understand why you need to step away now that you and your ex have broken up. If she tells her daughter that you contacted her, and especially if she starts telling your ex how much she likes you, wonders why your ex left you, etc., you will honestly only hurt yourself.
