henderson14 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I've been messaging a girl off a dating site. I asked if she wanted to meet for lunch, but she didn't answer. Next message exchange I asked if she wanted me to call or text her first. She then gave me her # and said I could do either. Will I look lame if I don't call her. I preferred just to meet her because no matter how good or bad talking to texting goes, meeting in person is totally different. It just feels like a waste of time to talk and text before we've even met each other. I can usually tell right away when I meet them in person, despite how our phone convo's went.

I totally get your logic....but it seems if you want a date, you have to conform to what they want. I dont mind talking on the phone before we meet. I like to get a little bit of a vibe going. I despise when women want to text 20 times a day, as if they already know you, and they start getting flirty....and then you meet in person, and one of you or both of you is totally turned off.
