bluecell Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Hi, Catchy title huh Here is my story: I broke up with my ex 2 months ago because she wanted a break. I can write a lot on this, but I won't. To summarize: She's struggling with what she wants in live and is being helped by a professional, because she was depressed of this. She asked me to wait for her, which I didn't because I broke up with her to get some space myself as well (it is very hard when someone asks for a break) Now the problem is, she blames me for not waiting and I feel bad because of this. We still talk almost daily, and I asked several times if we could start seeing each other, but she isn't ready yet. Probably, because I didn't wait. This is what I tell myself. I didn't wait. If I do, she will eventually figure stuff out and come back. But I also know there is great change this will never happen. In the meanwhile, a new girl asked me out. I like her. However, my ex asked me to tell her when I start dating again. I don't know what to do, because if I do, she will get confirmed that I didn't wait after all. What would you do? Would you tell? Would you wait? Would you date? Or should I ask her?
aloneinaz Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 OMG.. Yes date. You don't owe your ex any explanation, period. She ended it with you. I'm not sure the value of you talking to her daily if you broke up?? Most go NC on move on with their lives. You sound ready to date and you should. If you feel obligated to tell her that you are, that's your call.
