Divasu Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 None of which is related to pursuing. Take a look at Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and any of the James Bonds. None of them were terribly outgoing or warm personalities. But women still fawned over them and even pursued them. Hence where the strong silence comes into play. Wanting what you can't have is one thing, but that soon wears off. And all three of them exhibited strength, boldness and leadership. At the end of the day, they got the girl. You? Not so much...
Woggle Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 IMO women handle rejection worse than men. That's why a lot of them don't pursue, in my experience. About every time I turned a girl down I didn't like, my sexuality was called into question by the woman. Well, not so much into question as they didn't ask me if I was gay but pretty much told me I was. This is so true. I don't play these games but I have rejected women for various reasons and you can almost see their ego getting crushed even when I try to be as nice as possible. 2

But if that's how they handled it, they have major character issues and you were better off without them. That's also about as arrogant as one can get.

PJKino Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 And all three of them exhibited strength, boldness and leadership. At the end of the day, they got the girl. You? Not so much... Theyres plenty of men who get approached alot and it works out. I dont undertsand people who box in genders and bleeive you should have specific traits if youre a man or women and you cant approach or do this or that its ignorant to me 2
Divasu Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Really? You were there when it happened to me? Well, you didn't hook up with them, so....
MrCastle Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I can't disagree with that. But if that's how they handled it, they have major character issues and you were better off without them. That's also about as arrogant as one can get. It is in poor taste but it is what it is. Some of those objectively attractive women have never heard the word no before. Most guys are gonna be putty in her hand. Not this guy. Maybe in my teen years. I'm a 25 year old man. I've seen plenty beautiful women in my life. They don't intimidate me or throw me off my game. I treat them the same way I treat everybody. 2
KathyM Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Women with options still pursue the most desirable men. The wiring stuff is inaccurate because if it was, no woman would ever pursue. Most men pursue because THEY HAVE TO. Most men are of average looks, average intelligence, average personalities. I've been pursued by women from ages 15-50+. When you have great looks or some high form of status, women of all walks of life pursue you and that includes the best looking. Tis' life. Well, the example you gave would prove my point. These two hot women did not pursue you, yet at least one was interested. You missed the ball on that one, sweetie.
Author Southern Cal Dude Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 Well, you didn't hook up with them, so.... Who says I didn't?

There's plenty of others who won't passively sit back and they don't necessarily rank lower in looks either.
Author Southern Cal Dude Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 Well, did you? If I was interested in them, then I always did. I think you're highly underestimating my options. I haven't had to pursue since I've been 17.
Author Southern Cal Dude Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 And to put the wiring theory to rest, go to Brazil or one of the Scandinavian countries and women pursue on the regular. This was definitely the case when I went to Rio. And I also read a study that American women were either the least or second least flirtatious in the world.
Keenly Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I just avoid the really pretty ones in general. I tried it once, and she used me, lied to me, cheated on me, and broke my heart pretty bad. No more really pretty ones.

That's like getting played by one guy and saying all guys are like that.
ThaWholigan Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 To rip on outrageously pretty girls who are "cold". Another of the easy targets of LS.....
Divasu Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 To rip on outrageously pretty girls who are "cold". Another of the easy targets of LS..... Right? Clint Eastwood would never...

Author Southern Cal Dude Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 Very true, the women in this country are (ready for the blanket statement?) spoiled little princess wannabees. Its amazing how friendly women in other countries are, or if you do find a genuine nice gal in the US shes probably from somewhere else. (Canada) That's a little harsh. But I think the problem is people are conditioned that strangers are weird creeps who are going to rape you in alleyways. Perhaps there's something in the water and food, I don't know. I've noticed foreigners are much more open and friendly, men and women alike.
MrCastle Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 You guys are getting me all hot and excited for my trip out of country next summer with all this foreign women are friendlier stuff. Better not be wrong 2

Better not be wrong If you're a halfway decent looking guy, Brazil and Sweden is the next best thing after Cloud 9. And here's what I was referring to- Flirtation study names U.S. women ?world?s least flirtatious? (almost). Only Ecuador?s women flirt less ? Noticias de Badoo Just as I suspected, Brazil is up there. Just a smidge away from being #4. 1

tomtucker Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I've seen couples with that dynamic (masculine woman, feminine man) This is very common in the US, unfortunately. Far more common than one would see it in the UK.
