I am now a security blanket

My man told me on Friday night that he still has feelings for this girl at work, and he has feelings for me too.

When we hooked up 4 months ago, he had told me all about this girl at his job and how in love he was with her, how they dated a couple of times last year around this time, but she ended things with him real quick bc she was pregnant with her exmans kid. Anyway, bout a month after him and I started to see each other, he wanted to just see each other exclusively, I told him that I really liked him , but I was not ready to fight a battle that I have Already lost (the girl at work thingy), he told me that he realizes that his feelings for her werent as deep as he thought they were. and that he was falling for me.

Well, her baby shower was on Sunday. He did not invite me to go with her.I asked him if he still had feelings for her, he sd yes, but that didnt really matter anymore bc she is having a kid yadda yadda yadda. I asked him if he had feelings for me he sd yes. That he has feelings for the both of us. I sd that it wasnt fair to me. He sd he knew that. And the convo was left as is. Ive realized that I am now the security blanket. That is such a sucky azz feeling. I feel like crap and that im not good enough and now im fighting a battle that i have lost. I dont know what to do now. I like him so much, but its not fair to me for him to do this to me.

He's not doing anything to you that you're not allowing. He was up front with you about being in love with this other girl. On top of that, you turned him down on being exclusive. I don't see how you're the victim here. It sounds like both you guys have a part in this.

 

If he can't decide who he wants, and you dislike the position you're in, why not just find someone else? You guys have only been seeing each other for 4 months anyway.
