I ask this because I've heard many people say "well most people are successful when it comes to dating/relationships". Then I thought to myself, what exactly does that mean?

So this thread is asking how do you personally define success. Is it different depending on age? Or the gender? For example if I'm in a relationship can I automatically be called successful?

Getting what you want out of it.

When I dated for fun, I was very successful.

When I dated to find a mate it was difficult, but I he ultimately found me, so I was still successful.

I have always gotten what I wanted when it came to dating.

If you're happy and content with what you're getting out of it, then you're successful. In the end we want companionship as it leads to happiness, and if you're happy then what you've been doing has worked... so we have success.
