He's telling you in advance that his time for other things, including a relationship, will be very limited. If you are O.K. with that, having very little time from him, having to be squeezed into his very difficult schedule, and having to be flexible in having plans canceled due to his work, then so be it. As others have said, this is not a one time thing. This will be the pattern. If the guy comes right out and tells you up front that he is married to his job and works 80 hours a week, I think it would be best to believe him, rather than thinking this is just a one time thing. 1
