Rogue Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Ok, a newb needs some advice. I've been seeing/datingish this girl (we'll call her girl A) for a lil while, technically a month, but we've only been on one or two dates other than a mock homecomming and actual Homecomming dance, but we're not "officialy going out." I like her, she's pretty cool, but now that I know her better, she's not really my type. The problem is that I've met one of her friends (I'll cal here Girl M) over the past two weekends who I like, and I think she likes me a lil too, I even got her number last night. She's fun to be around, and is my type of girl I like. (I dont think she's seeing anyone right now, but she was at the dance last night, and the guy she was with wasnt any where near here for about 75% of the time.) How should I go about becoming "just friends" with 'girl A' and then start seeing 'girl m'? I asked my mom about it, and she said that I should just drop 'girl A' and start talkin to 'girl m' instead, but I think that might not come out to good. note: we are all seniors in HS. Can anyone please give me some advice on this situation????? Thanks all

IF your really not into Girl A and the 2 of you are not officially dating exclusively (when I say that, LOL I mean the 2 of you never ever had that talk and she has no false illusions here) then I don't think you really need to "break up" her as the 2 of you were really only casually dating... None the less, if your not into her... then don't pretend to be. (I mean don't be a jackass about it!) but don't keep calling her for dates and what not... Girl M... heres an issue your Mom has overlooked... Girl A and Girl M are friends right? This could cause an issue.. Girls tend to be loyal to thier girlfriends regarding NOT dating a guy thier friend had dated... this isn't always the case, but you should know the potential for that to arise is there. Personally I would never date a guy one of my girlfriends had dated nor would they one of mine.... This is a difficult situation for you in a way... as you don't believe you and Girl A are a "couple" but she may see things very differently... Good Luck
Jilly10340 Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I remember when I was in highschool it was a big no-no to ever EVER start dating the guy that your friend had dated. Just from my experience...
