lissa90 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Since I'm a novice to working out and such, I was wondering if my "routine" is sufficient enough? I do 500-1000 skips a day and I also hoop with a 4lb hula hoop for an hour a day. Whilst I'm hooping I do bursts of 3 minutes of intense movement/hooping (if you can imagine that haha) I am also on a low calorie diet and have been drinking between 2.5L - 3.5Ls of water. Also when I'm in the mood I'll do squats, crunches and work on my arms. Am I doing enough? (I dislike gyms and I get all self concious and prefer to "workout" at home)
HumptyDumpty Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Any kind of exercise is good enough in my opinion However, I would change that routine once in a while to kick your metabolism since your body gets used to the exercise! So, doing other sorts of activities instead, like some other cardio exercises! You can also do those at home! Working with weights etc etc, you get the idea, you got quite a choice Also, with hooping, you can learn all kinds of movements that will imply different muscles than just the hip hooping, see? Youtube has some great videos on these This being said, keep up the hooping, it's a great sport that is highly underestimated sadly...
theonlyjuan Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Yeah if you have a caloric deficit you should see results. Don't be put off by weight, it goes up and down when you drink lots.
