I sent out a mass text to a large group in my phone (just a "hey, hope you had a great weekend and soaked up the sun!) just to start some chats with people because my day is slow.

I didn't realize that when I deleted my ex from my contacts it didn't remove him from that list, just his name from his number. Once the message was sent I saw one number with no name attached and, I am as of now, filled with dread.

*sigh* I feel set back and no even on purpose. Now I am going to be fretting any response I get OR stressing over NOT getting a response. How stupid.

I wouldn't worry about it. He will think it was for him but you know better. If he responds, just ignore. ;)

I do know better but I don't want to feel this anxiety about a stupid text. I have removed him from THAT list and I am going to scour my phone to make sure he isn't tagged on to any others.

I am not sure what is going to be harder though - ignoring a response text or no response at all.

I hate that feeling. I deleted my ex's number from my iphone but her number remains recorded on the phone. I'm always very diligent with regards to sending out text messages and double check that I didn't inadvertently input her name. I hate going through this all the time, I guess I'll just have to do a master reset.

If he can tell that it was sent to a bunch of people then he may not respond at all.

As a fellow iPhone user, (I don't know if this is what you speak of but if it is,I hope this helps) I know you actually CAN'T delete numbers from the iPhone.

For example if your exs name is Kate, and you delete the contact, when you type Kate into the Contact space when sending a new message her number will still be stored and you can still contact her.

To get rid of that you actually have to have texts from her. So if you have any you haven't deleted or if she contacts you and you want to completely remove her number here's how:

- you must have a text from her

- in the text message screen of your conversation with her, hit edit contact

- DELETE THE NUMBERS FROM HER CONTACT PAGE, not the actual contact (there is no option on this page to delete the contact) hit the red - next to her number and delete them. Then save the contact.

- Your conversation with her will now have her number at the top as if you didn't have her as a contact. DELETE THE CONVERSATION.

- Then go into your regular contact list and delete her contact from there (you'll see it has no numbers listed for her)

- Now when you type her name, etc it will still show up as her number but it will say 'Recent' next to it. In a few days her number will disappear entirely.

Saves you from the master reset, but is a complete pain since it requires a text :p.

Oh, it also requires that you do not have the person who you wish to delete on Facebook, or that your phone isn't synced to your Facebook contacts.

Does this mean I can break NC and ask her to send me a text? LOL

I'll say it for purposes of moving on only haha

NO WAY I rather live with the pain of her freaking number being stuck in my phone. ;)

Oh and thank God I don't have facebook and neither does she as far as I knew from the time we were together, I'm certain not having facebook saved us both tons of grief while together.
