youdunsay Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Case study 1: Friend's friend of mine shared her story that she used to party and dress provocatively when she met her boyfriend. It was until she changed to be more demure (dress modest, less drinking etc) then she became the official girlfriend from the process. Case study 2: The girl whom ex left for used to party and dress provocatively when she met him. He tried all means to get her and made her changed (suddenly) to be appear more demure (dress modest, less drinking, behave more like sweet etc) then she became the official girlfriend. Conclusion: So men actually fall in love with the woman who changed for them? How about those demure, girl-next-door type of girls? Are they suppose to change to party type, then change back again to demure?
Weezy1973 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 People change for their own reasons. Perhaps the 'party girls' didn't feel like partying anymore.

Guys like to party too but eventually when it comes to relationships it's more about day-to-day vibrations and less about dressing to the 9's just to get drunk and act like a skank.
jphcbpa Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Who wants to be in a LTR with a party girl. No thanks.
Emilia Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Conclusion: So men actually fall in love with the woman who changed for them? Apparently controlling men do. It seems those men like to control their women and prefer to be in a relationship with their own creations. 2
GorillaTheater Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Funny thing about that, though. Folks who change, ostensibly or not, for others instead of themselves have this way of changing back. 4
will1988 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I'm sorry, as someone who has truly changed over the course of many relationships, and as someone who has tried forcing people to change, i am 101% certain that these women did not change for these guys. I can also be certain, that even if they say they are changed and did it just for these guys, they will be back to their oly partying ways not too long from now. OR they actually changed, but it was for themselves, because they either matured / grew out of partying, or they realized they loved your friends and did not want to ruin it or their lives. They did not change for your friends. Sorry. Thats not how people work, no matter how much smoke and BS they blow up your A$$, people only change for themselves when the time is right. trust me on that. 2

Really? I haven't seen people like that. Wouldn't it be confusing? Like for next year I'll be a party girl to get guys, then switch back to normal and switch back to party girl again if that guy is a jerk. Isn't this psychopathic?
aussietigerwolf Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 that sounds like way too much work... changing myself for someone else aint going to last too long either.

No it's what people do when they change for someone else and not for themselves. They can only keep up the pretense for so long. I'd say most people do this at one point in their lives, hopefully while still quite young, and learn from it. 1
