alebaron18 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I've been dating a guy that I work with. We have been going out for about five months now. He is 29 and I'm 20. Yesterday he broke things off, choosing his career over me. He isn't in the right state of mind to be in a relationship and he doesn't want to drag me along. It ended pretty alright, but now I have to go to work and see him. How do I deal with that?
drake13 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Ignore him, don't talk to him unless it is work related, remember him for his selfish decisions and stay strong.
JDPT Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I was in your shoes a few years ago. It was difficult to have to see her every single day yet not be able to say a word to her, so difficult. In time we ended up getting back together and after 4+ years broke up for what I think is now for good. I can only suggest to avoid by all means being anywhere near him. By doing this you aren't running away you are simply saving yourself grief, focus on work and work only while there. I would go as far as seeing him as just another co-worker, now I know that's extremely difficult but it's just a mind exercise that may work in your favor.
