So it's halfway through the year and after becoming an increasing flirt/ countless dates, I've realised it's just not working... again. This is probably the 24324th time I've decided it's time for a bit of me time.

So my phone is now being 'decluttered' - numbers of girls are being deleted. Same with those friends that just don't seem to give a damn anymore. As a guy, the numbers are of the majority girls (friends or more). Time to get back to my roots and the mates that have taken the back seat as much as any others.

Furthermore, the aim now is to focus on my tertiary studies, get as fit as I can (6-pack and all) for the sport I play. Furthermore I shall take up the hobbies I've missed or always wanted to try but never did.

Anyone else doing the same? The good ole 'no more dating for a while' for the 2345324th time?

Nah!

You sound like an "all or nothing" personality. I can empathize. But frankly it causes me nothing but problems in all walks of life, not just this one. Finding a truly functional balance is a real bitch, even for those who would not call themselves an "all or nothing" personality or would not be labelled as such by those who know them. For those of us who would. it just seems like it is impossible.

I don't know about turning a new leaf per se, but as far as deleting numbers and stuff from my phone, yes. I pick up and drop new people all the time. I have very little tolerance for bs. Life is too short to waste on people who dont put in the effort to communicate with. Can't send a simple text or email or whatever. They get replaced.
