then you should ask them, "Who would you rather have take off your bra: Chris Hemsworth or the 3 Stooges?"

Right? Women are supposedly turned on by humor, so you'd think they would masturbate to pictures of Curly, Larry and Moe.

Similarly, when women say they like a tall guy because they feel protected, ask them, "How would you feel about a 5'4 Asian martial artists boyfriend?"

What are some other **** tests for things women say? I enjoy exposing their bull****.

Having seen a lot of similar threads over the years, and having had some various and interesting relationships with women over the decades, my observation is the baseline attractiveness of a man is the ticket to admittance. Where things go from there depends on other factors, like humor. Ergo, a funny guy whom a particular lady finds insufficiently attractive to gain admittance trends from invisible to creepy, depending upon how he humors her. If he is otherwise attractive to her, his sense of humor may augment that attraction or deplete it, depending on the synergy of their interactions. Make the wrong joke at the wrong time and it's very easy to be dismissed. Happens all the time.

I personally don't see a big expose here. It's how life works. Is it fair? Depends on one's perspective. IMO, life, in general, is anything but fair.

if chris hemsworth was serious and dull then I would prefer one of the 3 stooges.

I go with the idea that a man should be comfortable with his own attractiveness and make the most of himself. For me this cannot exist without a natural abitlity to want to care for others. Humour will have a sound base in such a mindset, even odd humour. Anything beyond this is creepy and self indulgent and whatever word there is to describe the opposite of elitism.

Bad vibes are bad vibes and it is not a womans place to go around making inadequate men feel ok.

Same in reverse.

Take care,

Women don't tend to find the 3 Stooges funny.

I'd take Jon Stewart over Chris Hemsworth any day!

Some guys apparently want to beat women over the head for being attracted to humor, while others are busy attracting women with humor, at least in part.

I know which guy I want to be.

When you look good, almost anything you say is funny. I remember once making some corny Pee Wee Herman joke and the girl was almost on the floor. Even I admit the joke wasn't funny.

"Sense of humor" != "Comedian"...

If you're comfortable and happy with yourself and enjoying life, then your humor - whatever style it is - will come naturally.

No woman I know thinks the 3 Stooges are funny, so the OP's premise is flawed from the start.

Firstly, for the zillionth time -

Not all women are the same!!

Not all women are attracted to the same types of men!!

Not all women are turned on by the same things!!

Secondly, attraction is MUCH more complicated than a woman simply thinking -

"Huh, that guy is funny. Funny = attractive. Therefore I'll date him."

Or -

"Huh, that guy is really tall. Tall = attractive. Therefore I'll date him."

Or -

"Huh, that guy is strong. Strong = attractive. Therefore I'll date him."

Instead, it is a combination of attributes, personality traits and physical features that any given woman finds attractive in a guy, which makes her want to date him. And again, all women will be attracted by different combinations of personality traits, physical features and abilities, and all women will be attracted to different types of men!!

However, in contradiction to what I just said, I suspect many women (again NOT all, and of course I'm only guessing based on my own experience) WOULD think -

"Huh, this guy is really bitter and angry. Bitterness = Unattractive. Therefore I won't date him"

:p

I think what is meant by that statement is that women (who value humor) will take a guy (they think is funny) over one that JUST has looks.

So obv I don't get the stooges either so let's use a better example

Pick one you most want to ahem, you know.

1. Seth McFarlane/Jon Stewart

2. One of the Helmsworth brothers

3. Carrot Top

Humor in of itself is not attraction, but a guy that is attractive (to you) and humor is a killer combo, for me. Cause laughing is important.

But not more important than kindness, faithfulness, and intelligence.

But that's me...we girlz are mysterious creatures, and you know you like it!

Carhill stated it like it is.

If you are attractive looking then generally whatever comes out of your mouth will be funny unless it is in really really bad taste or very off the wall.

For those that are in the borderlands between "hot" and "not" a sense of humor can and will be the deciding factor, but again not always.

As for the "not" crowd...you either need to be extremely witty and very bold to get over that hump, or figure out how to improve your looks to the point that you are at least in the middle...

I know one. My cousin. But its because we both grew up watching the stooges with our grandfather. Her two teen daughters think the stooges are funny as well.

Sorry to burst the bubble.....but in the world I live in....when looking at the dating sites...easily 80% of the women have wrote in their profile....and some in their headline....that they want a funny guy. They are that blunt and direct about it.

It may not be the reality that YOU experience, or the reality that you grew up in....but its sitting there black and white in their owns words...right in front of me.

The man who best met my physical ideal was a total **** with barely any humour.

I don't get crushes on movie stars, I get crushes on comedians and clever/funny folk. Even my girl crushes are on (okay, sexy, but...) quirky, funny women.

Laughter turns me on. Humour endears me to people. Being funny, I think, often takes a quiet confidence that I appreciate.

My man and I spent an hour together in the swimming pool, just us. We were in tears twice and I had to jump out and go to the toilet because I was going to wet myself.

Humour is more important to me than great sex in picking a partner. If the sex is okay then I can manoeuvre it in to something that suits me better, I can have a frank conversation about the direction I'd like to go in. I can go a long way towards shaping things and it can be a great sex life.

If he's not funny/dull, there's shag all I can do about it.

I think it's ok to want a bit off both and to overlook people who are psycho.

No, women would stab the three stooges in their sleep because they were

a) irritating

b) hideous

c) deliberately made a) and b) worse by having ridiculous haircuts.

If men truly found the three stooges funny it was probably in that "hoho - they're buffoons just like me, and doesn't everybody secretly adore a buffoon." To which women say "aw, yes of course. They're so sweet and funny and we love funny men." And then we stab them in their sleep for not being 6 ft 3" with 10 inch dongs. So there.

I thought this video was adorable and a bit odd. I love animals. I emailed the link to two different men I'd been emailing from a dating website.

One said this:

"A charming bit of light relief from my reading today’s markets and economics news. I think the monkey showed considerable patience! “These humans are just so slow to learn – I had to show him time after time!”

The other guy said this:

"Monkeys are highly intelligent mammals. I don't like the exploitation of animals for fun.....somewhat degrading albeit that is a human emotion."

Which of the two would you choose to get to know better?
