smile1983 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Okay, so I'm really not good at the flirting thing. I can talking easily and tease people that I know really well unless it is a guy I like. I keep thinking of ways I could tease this guy I like but I never have the guts to do it. So how does a person flirt effectively without saying anything sexual that could be misconstrued? Is it enough to laugh when he says something funny? Can a girl pay too much attention to a guy? Should I try asking him out or something? What is the best move here? I have never been good at communicating with the opposite sex and I often use humor as a defense mechanism.
The_Reginald Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 (edited) Laughing a lot and playful hitting is usually a pretty clear indicator of interest. Smiling whenever you see him should make it obvious and unless he doesn't know what hes doing he will eventually ask you out. Either ask him out or give him your number so you can do homework together or whatever applies. Or enthusiasticly ask to add each other on facebook or instagram. For me you could not pay too much attention to me. The more you talk to me the more ill assume you like me. Edited July 11, 2013 by The_Reginald
Shepp Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 If e were me you'd need to hit us over the head wit a frying pan, explain really clearly that you like me, and then maybe hit me again just to really get it in there! Okay so not literally, but I don't pick up on subtle - girls laugh at my jokes and id just assume 'yep your a funny guy'
NJtoDC Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 To show interest in a new guy I would be making direct eye contact and smiling, show interest in him, and looking for ways to have light hearted banter. To flirt with my BF I would get in his personal space a little and/or do one of the subtle things I know get his attention. Embracing my feminine side is my favorite part of flirting and gets the desired reaction from a man. 1

Southern Cal Dude Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Men don't pick up on subtle. Laughing at jokes doesn't mean anything.
