girl_in_nyc Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 I don't know how point-blank to be with my bf. He knows I love receiving cards and flowers, but it totally kills the spontaneity if I point out to him, "now would be a great time to get me some flowers or to write a card." How do I tell him I still want to be swept off my feet? how to broach this topic? "honey, something that would make me really happy would be if you would take some time to demonstrate how special I am with a card or flowers, etc."
winnieloveshunny Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 i think you should make the first move. you can also show your own romantic side to him by writing him cards and sending him flowers. then you can hint to him that "honey, something that would make me really happy would be if you would take some time to demonstrate how special I am with a card or flowers, etc."
Author girl_in_nyc Posted October 20, 2004 Author Posted October 20, 2004 I have written him many notes, and I know he likes to receive them. He knows I love to receive notes and flowers; I've told him this several times and don't want to be a nag. He's given flowers to me once. I feel like by now, he should be able to think on his own about this. Once, I even left out some of my own postcards and a pen with a note telling him to write me something. HOW UNROMANTIC.
