purplemania Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 (edited) The same number called/texted me a couple of times yesterday, saying stupid stuff like "why'd you call me??" when it was downright obvious that I was being pranked. I could hear breathing/muttering in the background. Traced the calls this morning and found out they were coming from one of my ex's best friends. Why?? The guy dumped me 2 months ago. You'd think he was over me, and yet he still feels the need to do something so childish? :/ Why? Edited July 2, 2013 by purplemania
Author purplemania Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 I want to bump this thread. I ignored the texts, and received nothing for a couple of days. And two days ago, the same number started texting me again, saying "Hi, are you there?" I really want to shed some light on all this. Please, can I have some insight?
TaraMaiden Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 No. There's no point. Knowing the whys and wherefores don't stop the stupidity, and all anyone can do is guess. Face it - we have less insight than you do! The thing with schytt like this, is not to care about what they do. The important is what YOU do. You need to block the number/texts and prevent them coming through. in fact, the best thing to do is to contact your provider/server, and ask them to change your number - by just one digit - then be extremely selective about whom you advise of the change. I had to do this - twice - and I used my phone for business, too... It's simpler than you think. And will solve your problem. 2

In the end, he doesn't want to be with me and this is just demonstrating immaturity on his part.
bluegreen Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 You call police make a report and send them right to their door.
Author purplemania Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 You call police make a report and send them right to their door. It'd be so much easier to do if those texts were threatening or degrading me, but it's basically always just "hey, why aren't you answering?" ugh
