I should have never looked. My ex is getting married in a month. I haven't looked in over a year. I thought maybe they broke up. But of course not. They are getting married now. I hate facebook. Never again!!

let this be a lesson to all those tempted to lurk an ex:

YOU NEVER SEE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO SEE! It's always bad!

Block them, delete them, erase them.

All they are is pathetic, ugly, decaying, toxic flesh.

That's a little harsh.

i know that i am going to sound a little sadistic here (masochistic maybe), but there is a strange comfort that comes from an ex getting married. it validates that that was not your person, that parting was the right thing to do. it helps your heart release them to the one who is maybe better for them. and it helps your heart open in waiting for the one who is and will be all yours. feel better.

well, it at least validates that they aren't pining over you and that the door to any future hookups is closed.

unless you get involved in adultery.

Yea, I think them getting married probably helps you move on quicker in reality. There's absolutely zero hope at that point of working things out. You really, truly are forced to move on and forget.
