is it ok to wish your ex a happy bday after 4 months of no contact? we broke up and i had changed my number right after that. he doesn't know my new #. and i never tried to call or email him since then. his bday is coming up next week (2 days before mine).

Once I sent a birthday card to an ex it didn't say anything but Happy Birthday love ( me) I ran in to him months later and he thanked me for it.

 

Do you have other intentions? It might just make his day, or maby you can rekindle a freindship out of it. If you decide to do so I would make it short & sweet.

If he's someone very special to you, go for it. I'm sure you would want him to wish you happy b-day. Just don't put your hopes up that this is meant to re-unite you.

i have no other intentions but just that. i wish him well. honestly, i miss him sometimes. other times, i don't. i've dated other guys after we broke up. im doing well now. i just wonder how he's been. that's all. i don't think i'd want to go back with him again though. i know what i want and i know he can't give me that.

Absolutely.

 

Send him the card. Don't ask any questions - that would imply an obligation on his part to answer. Just say Happy Birthday and wish him well.

 

Most people like getting cards - it's a nice thing to do.
