djcos25 Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Just getting out of a relationship, I signed up for an online dating site yesterday and was just browsing. I looked at one girl's profile and later she messaged me. We exchanged a few messages back and forth, she agreed to grab drinks sometime. We moved to texting. Both in the messages and texting it felt like she wasn't interested. I felt like I was asking more questions then her. She did ask some but she seemed kind of.. quiet I guess? I asked to call but she was going to bed shortly, I only asked because it was late. We both said goodnight and thats where I stand. This was last night. Should I text her, call her? I don't want to overdo it because we have a mutual friend. I'm just getting out of a relationship so I feel like I have to re-learn how to do things lol.
Brunettie Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 It's ok to send her a text now, maybe asking what's up or how her day is going. Or about when you're going to meet up (since you talked about that last night)
MrTurk Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Both in the messages and texting it felt like she wasn't interested. I felt like I was asking more questions then her. Thats what I've experienced with women from dating sites. Whether it be emails, texts, or even in person on a first meet....its as if I have to lead the conversation, and do all the talking. Maybe thats why they are on a dating site to begin with....too shy, less sociable? IDK If it was me, I would text her today and arrange a time to talk on the phone. Many women seem to enjoy texting for days, thinking they can "learn about you that way"(their words not mine) but texting does nothing. There needs to be a phone conversation, and face to face interaction, to truly see if theres any serious interest.

She has an iphone and my message was immediately read, never replied. I hate when girls do this, its like why even bother? After we agreed to meet for drinks, I tried to set up a time this week and she seemed hesitant so I backed off. Whatever, deleted and onto the next one.
