SimonSerenade Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I've been on one date so far, lovely girl, very pretty but got very attached very quickly, lol funny story how we met, I was buying piles cream and we had a good laugh about it, I asked her out, I picked her up when she got off work that day and after that date she was clingy as hell and kept lighting up my house phone, could understand if I went balls deep but she didn't even get a kiss from me, if I'm honest the whole experience has scared the living hell straight out of me. 2

aloneinaz Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I started dating two weeks after the FINAL break up with my toxic ex. It's been 30 days since then of NC and I don't plan on any in the future. I have to say I enjoy the attention of the dating sites. Lots of emails both ways, getting numbers, then texting, flirting, the chatting on the phone. It's a great distraction and reminder that there's too many woman in the world to sit and moan over a failed relationship for months.. I've went out with 5 different women so far. I slept with two and am still seeing one of these two. I took her to the movies today at noon, came back to my place where she instigated sex and she then had to go get her kids. So, I took a nice nap! Great day. Overall, I'd say it's been very helpful with me moving on with my life in the search for my next significant relationship. I like the one girl I'm seeing now but am in no hurry to jump back into a relationship. She knows I'm freshly single. Do I still think about the ex, of course but the person who I met, not the toxic,nasty, angry person of the final to months. She can F-off.

I'm so depressed I only want to talk about my ex with them :S They get tired of my negativity. Also, my self esteem is very low, and I don't want to meet anyone right now. I can't even shave my legs! I'm talking to three men right now. One of them only wants sex, the other two seem to be interested on me, but ugh so boring. I miss the excitement I felt with my ex. the butterflies... It's only been 2 weeks NC, but I need to feel OK again

Oh boy, it wasn't meant to come across in a bragging manner. Just a factual one. It's not hard to get dates on online dating sites if you're decent looking. I'd say I'm a good looking guy, but not George Clooney either. LOL

I'm sure he wasn't and he left you so why give him so much time and attention? I think the point of dating is to get out of the house and have sometime w/the opposite sex. A few laughs, some flirting and see where it goes. Yes, not every date is great, but enjoy being out of the house and talking to another person. No one's EVER going to get over their ex if they sit at home for months, pining, whining and crying over someone who kicked them to the curb. You're not going to meet your next great relationship sitting at home. You have to put in some work too.
Pisces13 Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 (edited) I haven't been out on any dates yet, and I haven't had sex with any other girls, but I've hooked up with a few since the breakup. I get a lot of female attention when I go out regardless of where I go, which has helped repair the confidence after being dumped, but I'm still just going along at my own pace.
