We are both shy people. I want to go for the hug, but I feel my shyness coming out more so simply because she is a coworker of mine and my other coworkers/friends don't know we even talk. So next time I see her at work and we go for another hug the coworkers will be like wtf? Or am I just over thinking things?

Hug on the date if the mood strikes you. Don't hug at work.

Touch her hand, shoulder, back, thigh. Whatever you do don't be so shy you never make a move. DO SOMETHING.
