Asked her out, she didn't have time. When should I reply?

I met a girl at a concert and took her out for a drink a week later. She is a busy working Mom. We had a great time, went for a motorcycle ride to end the evening. We had semi firm plans for a 2nd date a week later. I have texted her 3 or 4 times over the last few days since the date. I called twice and she didn't pick up but later apologized for missing my call. When she replies, she sounds interested and enthusiastic with exclamation points and stuff.

This morning I asked her if she wanted to have lunch today (I had mentioned it before) so she "could stare into my blue eyes some more", trying to be fun and flirty.

She got back to me an hour later and said she didn't have time then followed that text with a 2nd text, "but thanks for asking!".

I haven't messaged back. I'm thinking I'm going to wait until tomorrow or even Sunday, the day before the next date, to get back to her. Even though I haven't texted very much I think its been a little lopsided.

On the other hand, I don't want her to think I'm mad because she couldn't go to lunch. I'm not the kind of guy who gets mad at women.

Anyway, do you think it will be bad for me to wait a day or two to communicate?

I wouldn't play a game. I would just respond back "When are you free?"

If she is interested, she'll come up with a date/time for you. If she isn't, she'll hem and haw and come up with an excuse why she can't pin down a time.
