Would you date a guy who went back to education at 26? I am considering going back to education, but I worry that girls will think I'm old to be back in education. I never got a degree because to be honest, at the time I hated school and studying, so instead decided to work.

I now feel I want to go back to education, but would you find it weird or would you still date me? To be honest, I might have to live like a student again, but I would plan on working as much as possible outside of studying time for extra money.

Just your thoughts?

I'm 25 and in college and nobody seems to care.

I'm pretty sure fellow students would date you. It would be weird if they didn't since they are in the same boat as you.

Awwwwww :(

To the OP(and MrCastle)...yeah, why not? You are bettering and improving yourselves. You have certain experiences in life that you can bring to the whole Uni experince compared to those of us who started at 18(i.e. You are more mature and are doing it because you thought about what you want to do and how it will enhance your life, not because your school/parents expect you to). Plus your future will be bright and you will be an asset to society and the world at large :)

I hated studying too...& I am single now...& I don't yet have my dream job but enjoy it. Use your time wisely ;) not everyone does...

good luck :)

Oh my, I didn't even answer you properly, sorry!

Yes, there is nothing wrong with dating you if you go back to school. I would :D

I went back to school when I was 25 or 26. It didn't hurt my datability.

I'd admire someone who went back to school, at any age. (got my second degree at 35). Nothing wrong with learning!

I went back to school after divorcing at 34. Met a wonderful man who was also back in school at the age of 37. Don't let it hold you back!

Yes I would date a guy who is 26 and back in school. It shows initiative and drive to better yourself and that's definitely an appealing quality. I have a degree and am 25 and trying to get accepted back to school and I don't think it's a bad thing. We are young and willing to sacrifice now to have a better future!

Just try and find ways to bring in extra money while going to school. Most people I know had to work part time while going to school to stay afloat and none of them really suffered. Sure you are much poorer but you can still afford to go on a date or 2.

In fact I think I'd prefer to date someone who was in school rather than working a job they were able to obtain without education (for example waiter or cashier). Education is important because once you have it no one can ever take it from you!

I went back to school at 25 also, and I ended up meeting the love of my life several years later, when I was nearing graduation. He was 25 at the time and going back for the same degree as I. We both were working full time, and attending school full time.

There are lots of adult students in many schools :) I ended up walking out of school with a degree, the man I'm marrying soon, and several close friends.

Don't worry about it :)

I've dated a 40 something who was back in uni. He knew what he wanted and why he was doing it. It was sexy.

well I'm 32 and going back to university this Fall. There is nothing wrong with this. Why wouldn't a girl date you? At your age,you can probably end up hooking up with some older undergrads of grads...

enjoy it!

Actually, I think most kids out of high school should work in the real world for a few years, and THEN go to college. But that's just me.

I'm 25 and still in school, doing night classes through a great university but physically taking classes at my local community college. No one seems to mind or care. In fact I'm one of the youngest, if not youngest, person in my classes. If middle aged women is your thing, I'd highly suggest this route. If not, I'm sure single girls our age won't care. They will probably pat you on the back for going back to school to better your life.

I'm going back too - I'm sure its better than not going back and doing nothing :p.
