I just finished reading a book and it said that one of the top ten turn offs for guys who were dating was girls who had multiple tatoos and peircings. Is this really such a turn off for guys and why?

Personally, I don't really care. I think tattoos are a sign of impulsiveness and immaturity. But so many people get them these days that I've just kind of accepted that every girl I meet will most likely have some "meaningful" ink on their body somewhere. Piercings can be attractive, and I can't remember them ever being a deal breaker.

It's one of those things that probably won't tip the scales one way or another for me. And I'm probably one of the more anti-tattoo guys you'll ever talk to.

Depends on location and meaning.

A rose on your shoulder, nice. A Mike Tyson face tat, not nice.

What's weird is I'd rather either girls who are not tatted at all or just full on Kat Von D type sh*t.

If I'm gonna hook up with a bad ass, might as well go all the way

Most guys I know think they are hot (myself included). It really depends on the guy. Nowadays piercings and tats are so common place that most dudes expect a girl to have at least her belly pierced and a small tattoo somewhere.

I personally don't find them attractive, unless artfully done. I just don't find them aesthetically pleasing usually. If I had to choose I'd pick tattoos over piercings. I really don't like piercings, particularly tongue ones.

Tattoos = sex.

Generally, if a girl has a lot of tattoos, she's in the FWB/ONS category for me. Definitely not relationship material.

I don't have any tattoos or piercings and men have been always quite vocally appreciative of that.

I have two tattoos and a Monroe. I have no problem finding men. I think it depends in the taste of the guy and the class of the woman who has them.

For some it is and for some it's not. If you have piercings and tattoos, I'm guessing you got them because they make you happy, not because they might make a guy want or not want you, right?

Make yourself happy first, and if someone doesn't like it, you don't have to date him. Quite simple, really.

I have three tattoos on various parts of my body (planning a fourth), maybe six piercings (all in my ears), and I love them.

Depends where, what, and perhaps why.

I'm not keen on lip piercings, for example.

Edit to add: actually, studs might be okay. it's rings/hoops in the lip that really put me off. Unless she's really hot... but I haven't had that dilemma yet.

Don't put too many in your ears if you like having them nibbled. A poor guy might chip his teeth! ;)

I find piercings around and in the mouth a turn off. I know people tell me they are clean but I just envisage food and bacteria in there. They also sometimes make people lisp

At first I read this and it pissed me off. But to be honest, I kind of have to agree. I have a full sleeve and a full back and so far, a lot of men think it's hot and would to hook up with me, or the tattooed men want to date me just because hey! girl with a ****load of tattoos!

And I'm here waiting for the one who simply won't care one way or the other....

My fiance has not tattoos, but she does have some piercings... had more when we first started dating, also had her hair dyed pink and for the first year it was every color of the rainbow. now she is a little more conservative in apperance, but i have no problem if she returned to how things were when we first started dating... it is a turn on to me!:love::love::love:

There are half a dozen places I'd rather be nibbled, hence I have lights and arrows pointing at those places, and no piercings in those areas.

My brother is a big fan of tattoos and piercings. So there's one in favor.

Personally, I like the nose rings on women. Pretty sexy. But outside of ears and nose, I'm not a fan of any other kind of piercings. Tattoos, 1-3 small to medium size tattoos are ok. Bigger ones or several are a turnoff to me.

I dont really care. bad attitude is my turn off. Tattos and piercings are personal expression and while i do not have any I cannot judge those who do

As for tats...I have some, so I cant be too judgemental of a woman that did as well...Id like hers to be tasteful and subtle..I especially like ankle tats and small tats on their ass or hips. I dont like tramp stamps-either..

Piercings? ..I hate piercings of the tongue and nipples and..you know...lol...

A tiny stud in the nostril or upper lip looks nice in a way..I agree on the sanitary part of it though...I would think that the backing would annoy the hell out of me...
