irc333 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Something I've noticed lately when it comes to dating or being single...at least with the women...I"m sure men speak in such verbage. Like in a recent online dating profile, "Hello! I am currently interested in dating. Not against a relationship with the right person." Or, "I'm not opposed to accepting a date if I'm asked out". Notice the verbage is not, "I'm all for being in a relationship with the right person". Is this what deciphers the "glass half full, half empty" situation? I mean, if you're not against something, aren't you FOR something?" 1. "I'm all for dating!" 2. "I'm not against dating!"
phineas Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 For OLD I see this on profiles of women who are HOT and consider themselves some kind of prize to be won. To me it's just a way for them to justify dating multiple men at once. In essence these women are party girls or time wasters & to be avoided. I avoid them. I don't have time for women that can't figure out what it is their looking for.
BeyondtheClouds Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Interesting way of speaking. They are hedging their bets. They are trying not to look too eager. They are trying to keep their options open. Have you gone out with one or more of these women who express themselves that way? If so, what was your experience with them?

This....I think women are indeed always trying to come off as not too eager to meet men, ESP online Countless times I've seen profiles where they had claimed their "friend" wrote it for them or "they're just checking things out" and nothing more. Or...somehow their "Friends put them up to it". or "talked them into it".
