MidwestUSA Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I would say get her one rose, or the cheap dozen you get at walmart or safeway for $10. no need in breaking out the expensive stuff before the year mark. Too late. The deed is done. We're just waiting for an update 1
tbf Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 If you're really this sure you wouldnt need to be posting 23 threads in a month like an emo chic. He's a man who's crazy about his partner. There's nothing wrong with that. Must it always be doom and gloom on LS? 2

Author Phantom888 Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 I totally went simple. Got to her place at 10pm after she was done working. I brought a bouquet of fresh mixed flowers from Trader Joes ($9.99), and a bottle of Merlot ($9.99). She was totally happy, and I was rewarded with a nice big kiss. We spent a couple of hours talking, cuddling and drinking This was the first time I ever spent less than $200 on a special occasion. I figure since she likes simple things, and she makes MORE money than me, I would wow her with romance instead of bling. Totally a first for me. 4

This is nice, a spontaneous easy going gesture like this is lovely. 1
tbf Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Phantom, the two of you should figure out what your love languages are. This way, when either shows gestures of love, the other will recognize the gesture for what it is and appreciate it. 2

This will take time. We talk to each other a lot, so that will help. 2

I can always tell how much we like each other when the dates are simple and are about just chatting and getting slowly sloshed. Everything else is frills.

Do most people have one really dominant language and one that doesn't matter at all?Not an expert but from what I've seen, most people have a hierarchy of languages. Some have large gaps between, others don't. Some even have multiple priority languages.
MidwestUSA Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Thanks again; I'm going to read up and have hubby take the quiz. Now, back to OP!
starrynightz45 Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 PLEASE be a cornball. Ok, there may be SOME women who would be embarrassed by this, especially since it's going to be delivered to her workplace. But the other 98% of us LOVEEEE this total, epic cornball stuff. DO IT! 2
Author Phantom888 Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 I'm gonna go total CORNBALL on her birthday later this month. I kinda made her cry yesterday from my corniness. I think in the future we are gonna end up celebrating our birthdays together since she is literally only 2.5 weeks older than me. I love celebrating
