mtnbiker3000 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Not only is today my ex's B-Day. But I also just discovered that in order to switch insurance policies around, I have to get right back in the middle of her, her job and her insurance company. I would definitely need to break NC. Ugggghhhhhh. Nooooooo!!! I've been doing so well and remained so vigilant. I guess that's what I get for trying to stay on her awesome policy months after our BU. Thought I had a great plan to just write her a few post-dated checks and let her deposit them as time went on without ever needing to contact her. Nope. So what did I do? Instead of contact the ex, I totally pulled a wuss move and asked the administrator of her school district to contact her directly and complete all of this without me in the loop. Felt like such a p*ssy requesting this, but she was cool and agreed. Now, hopefully this will all go down without me needing to get involved at all. Lesson learned. Get my own insurance at the time of BU and don't try to pull a fast one. Oh, and if it all goes super south, I will be responsible for full payment of everything I have processed through her insurance in the last 3 months. Dentist and lots of counseling sessions. Hopefully that won't happen (fingers crossed).
Author mtnbiker3000 Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 Well, hopefully this is a sign that I am doing better. Today I am feeling much better than yesterday (above). Seems like the good days are the majority and the bad ones are less and less. And with the ex's B-day and the rough call to the insurance agent yesterday, must have been a big ol' trigger. Nothing I could do about that… And, at least this time when it felt like shyte was hitting the fan, I just did NOTHING and did NOT make things worse by immediately texting the ex to try to resolve the 'perceived' issues. Yeah me!!! 3

KPChick000 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Glad you're feeling better today! Good for you in sticking to NC, with the bday and insurance issue. We will get through this eventually. 1
aloneinaz Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Good job MB! The fact that you ignored her on her birthday probably stung her just a bit as well. You didn't owe her a text or acknowledgement of her b-day. Now, you just need to start looking CASUALLY for you next significant other. The ole expression is so true. You can't get over you past sig other until you find your next one. 1

Well, I hope it didn't sting her too bad, because depending how she reports our RS/BU status and dates to the Ins Co, I could end up royally screwed. Don't think that will be a problem though. I hope. Now, you just need to start looking CASUALLY for you next significant other. The ole expression is so true. You can't get over you past sig other until you find your next one. Yup, don't think I'm too far off on moving forward with this. Feels like I am at the tipping point, but don't want to jinx it. The thing that sucks though is that it's pretty slim pickens' where I am right now. Not too much to chose from and the ones that are here aren't really all that attractive to me. Physically and mentally. Hopefully I won't be in this town too much longer, but still don't have a solid exit plan yet. Currently working on that...

If only I could just start something up with someone new, so many things would be better. Unfortunately I don't have many options for the next couple of months kinda like you
