I was wondering, has anyone had much success or would advise dating a 'third party' at work.

A "Third Party" meaning, they aren't co workers at all.....but someone that comes to your work place occasionally to pick up documents at your dept, or someone you go to for support for your place of employment.

I used to work at a permitting department, and sometimes these contractors had their office staff come pick up permits before they go out on the job...some of these ladies were pretty cute, too...and single.

Lately, I've been in contact with someone ONLY via phone through work, a third party courier service, that seemed to have a personality I was attracted to, she's pretty proactively friendly actually. Not reading into anything though.

So, as a lark, an email she sent to me recently at work, when I got home, I looked up her name on FB and saw her there, indeed she's cute as she sounds. lol

That being said, ever consider these attempts at asking people out via this.

With all this talk about the "cold approach" vs "starting off as friends", here's anohter option

Well, you never know. I set my sister up once with a guy who came in and serviced our deionized water system. Didn't work out, but.... Next time you have her on the phone, chat her up (within reasonable limits of your workplace, don't get fired over it) Good luck!

I wouldn't mention that you stalked her on Facebook; she may find that creepy.

Hmm... Maybe your company or her company has a "customer appreciation" type party and you can invite her or get invited.... Something like that where it is a social setting would be the best way to do it. Otherwise.... I am all for cold approaches but this comes across as kind of creepy....

If she's never seen what you look like, I advise against it.
