NYC-BigKat Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I just dont understand why u know . We met on sunday at my aunt's backdoor bbq & my cousin introduced us so we talked for a while & we had hotdogs together & she seemed to like me so she asked for my # so she could text hers into my phone & after the bbq I went home & we text for a little while but then she stopped responding after I asked her if she liked the movies. What happened?!
crude Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Just a wild guess, but it sounds like you've got a convoluted family history, and it turns out she's your sister. 1
TaraMaiden Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 She's lost her phone. She's experienced a total paralysis of both hands She's getting married, and her phone is set on 'vibrate only' She's got a bone in her foot. She's succumbed to amnesia and can't remember a thing past this morning. She's washing her hair. She's taken the dog for a walk. She's chatting up another of your cousins. She's holding a barbecue of her own and is busy tossing the salad. How the hell should WE know - ?! 1
Miss_Contemplating Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Or she didn't receive the text. So text her: ''It doesn't have to be movies. ''
Lansing Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 The reality is that people are flakey in general. I would suggest a phone call, leaving a message and that is it. I have also had experiences where I thought a girl had fun, I tried contacting her via text or phone call and no response... It can get very frustrating and I wish girls were just more blunt.

It really really bugs me that she loses interest for no reason.
Freddy Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 When you find out let me know. LOL have a similar situation!
shexy Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 It's called Random Dating Disappearance Syndrome. People occasionally vanish off the face of the Earth for no apparent reason. 5
BluEyeL Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 She stopped responding because she doesn't like you. You can send her another text and if she never replies it's a no. People, men and women, are not comfortable telling others no to their faces. You just read the signs. No answer means NO. Why? Who cares? Move on to the next.
BluEyeL Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I'd send another text, just to be sure there is no misscommunication. If she doesn't reply to that one it's 100% clear she doesn't like him. 1
Lansing Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Why? Who cares? Move on to the next. I think for a lot of guys the "why" is just trying to figure out what one did wrong so that next time they don't make the same mistake.... I guess, in the end, it isn't always something the guy did... Just makes a guy not even want to bother when it happens a few times and the girl doesn't have the decency to say "hey, I am just not feeling it" or whatever. I am sure the same applies when guys do it to girls. 1

I am sure the same applies when guys do it to girls. It fully applies to both genders. I also want to know, however, I wasn't always given the opportunity to find out why. Actually, I never got the opportunity to find out the reasons and I also kept going crazy about what did I do wrong. They'll never tell you the true reasons anyway. All that matters is that the other person doesn't like you, and you don't want to be with someone who doesn't like you. If they were meant to be, it wouldn't be screwed up so fast by a little detail that you got wrong!!

Why would she lose interest after only a few texts?? Doesn't make sense.

Mr.Mango Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 This problem happens both genders. Some people are just flaky and disrespectful. I don't know anyone who doesn't have 1 moment in their day to shoot a text back in the span of 30 seconds. Having dealt with this a lot the most common scenarios are: - She literally couldn't text back, which happens. Just wait it out. Hardly ever seen a girl who's interested not want to get back to the guy she likes. She'll probably even give you a whole thing about how she couldn't get to her phone. -She's not interested anymore. It's rude and it sucks, but for a lot of people they prefer to take that route by dropping off the face of the earth. Probably part of people being able to hide behind screens. Real life interactions are better, only the rudest people would straight-up ignore you after you ask them a question. When this happens to me I always just say: "If she can't be bothered to get back to me, then I can't be bothered to care."

What happened?! How long has it been since you sent the last text? If it's only been between last night and today I wouldn't think anything of it. People get busy. Give it a bit and then try another text later. If it's been like a week, then she's probably not into you. Or lost her hands or something.
MrRightNow Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Maybe she has a boyfriend. I was texting this girl I met earlier this summer. She never said anything about having a boyfriend when I asked for her number. She didn't reply to my last text in which I asked if she wanted to hang out, so I just forgot about her. A few days later I received a threatening text from her boyfriend. Even if she's single, you're probably not the only guy she's texting.
