As I said before, its not hard to get female interest when playing music. A lot of girls will think you are better and more famous than you really are. It is what it is though. If I start up a band in the city again, Im sure I will have girls like OP making things easy for me. But eh, I dont need that. Id rather a girl legitimately think Im hot and want to do me because she really feels it. I dont want some chick who would have ignored me if I wasnt in the band. I don't know. As someone who is heavy in the arts, I don't know where I stand on the status/groupie thing. On one hand, yes, I'd prefer someone who liked me for me. But am I gonna turn down sex with a hot chick just because she wouldn't have given me the time of day if I wasn't doing what I do? I don't think so.

She told me she would go backstage with them, go to their hotels, they would call her in advance, get a room full of liquor, tell her to come with all her gfs...she said she was kind of a celebrity as everyone wanted to party with her so they could meet them. She told me she never had sex with them, that she just liked to talk with them, that they really mostly just wanted to talk. She said all of her gfs screwed them, but not her. I mentioned a particualr band to her and she said "yeah, I met the bass player, a great guy, my gfs screwed him, I did not". And, as she put it, every girl thought they were his girlfriend, for 20 minutes. I tried my best to believe her; it is what it is is though. Mixing drinking, drugs, rock stars, sex in the room, please...things happened. My point: don't be foolish! You are one of thousands, literally. This guy may have been a gentlemen; my guess is that is his "move" to get a girl like you back to the hotel. So you're going to believe a girl that said "all of my friends screwed the rockstars except me"? Haha... You have "sucker" written all over your face, dude. 1

This is due to the fact that most people aren't really that intelligent. Of all the names you've listed, Bill Gates was the only real intelligent one. Jobs was simply a visionary and Freud was deluded in a lot of his thinking. But whatever, if you want to **** your life up, that's your choice. Join the club of millions of Americans with college degrees who are mediocre. A college degree doesn't make you intelligent. (For those who don't know, Chili Peppers at times go out on stage wearing only...a sock - or in Flea's case sometimes, just a bass!)

I mean, I'm old enough right now to look back at my early 20's and if I slept with a famous musician...I would only think I was young and dumb and would look down on myself for it. It's something I'd never want anybody to know, actually. I've spent plenty of time with famous musicians in my life but never would have sex with any of them. Most of the musicians I know are totally neurotic and in it for the "fame". They're actually almost all socially awkward! I hate to say this because they're my friends but they kind of know how they are and are usually the first to say this stuff about themselves. I know drummers who are so bent on being famous and getting "hot chicks" as much as singers and lead guitarists. And there's always a problem with every girl they ever do end up with. She's too this or too that and they just move onto the next "hot chick" and I'm quoting that because there's not usually anything so great about these women they hook up with. Any woman who gives them the groupie treatment, strokes their ego for five minutes and just plain gives them the time of day and that famous feeling they've been looking for, she automatically suddenly is a "hot chick". I can put up with a lot of the mentality that goes with musicians as long as I'm either just playing with them in a band, discussing music or just hanging out with them but I haven't ever met one I'd want to have sex with. They're usually so neurotic and OCD that it's a turn off.

I know it was cause they liked the fact I was in a band more than anything. Some girls like athletes, others like older men, others like geeks...etc etc. I hooked up with a few until I found a girlfriend, who didn't know I was in a band and that meant a lot to me, you know, that she liked me for me. But that doesn't mean I didn't have a bit of fun in the meantime..... Just saying.

He never asks questions and nor do I. I like it. Anyway, I starting to think whats the point? I know hes going overseas for ages in a few weeks but I cant bring myself to ask him to come down for a weekend before he goes. I dunno, I enjoy our banter and don't wanna ruin it by sounding like a desperate groupie! haha I'm so out of my depth here. What should I do? Just ask him anyway? Whats the worst that could happen?
