I don't get how not getting a girlfriend/wife and never having sex would mean I'm dropping out of "the social game". You can still be a sociable person despite never have had sex before or a relationship.

I'm just telling you things from my perspective. I'm much older than you and have gone through exactly what you are going through.

I tried to block out women and accept the possibility that I would die without ever having kissed a woman for a long time. People are going to talk about the opposite sex and relationships and when they find out that you have never had one, you are going to be fairly socially ostracized, especially by the more socially well adjusted members of society. Book it.

Of course people may think its weird that I'm a virgin and never had a relationship but being socially ostracized just for that doesn't sound like something the "socially well adjusted members of society" would do.

It's not an open, blatant ostrasizing. It's more of a subtle, low key marginalization.

By the time you get to your late 20s, people who have had serious relationships will think you are weird and will not put you at the top of the invite list. Believe me. This is how the world is.

BTW, I'm thinking I may join you. :lmao:

Actually it's far worse. By my late 20's and now very early 30's it's not enough to not be a virgin, it is not enough to have had serious relationships. Being engaged is just barely enough... really unless you are married in your 30's and beyond then you are stigmatized.

The thing is avoiding social stigmas are a bad reason to get married or have sex. These things can change your whole life for better or worse so only do them if you really feel in in your heart.
