If my ex boyfriend posted some naked photos of me online without my permission just because he was mad at me for being a bitch. Can I sue him for doing that or no?

Document your damages. An example would be if you earn your living with your image and the pictures have materially damaged your ability to earn a living.

In most jurisdictions, anyone can bring a lawsuit to court. Success varies widely and most cases I've been involved in settle. None have involved nude pictures, rather quantifiable monetary disputes, like non-payment of debts and contract disputes and stuff like that.

IMO, a properly worded request to the host of the pictures should cause them to be removed. What's left would be floating around in caches on the net. Good luck.

You can sue for literally anything you want. You could sue him for being ugly if you wanted. Unfortunately, your odds of winning this lawsuit are slim. You would have to prove the photos slandered you, put you in imminent danger, or the person who took the pics benefitted in some way. It's actually not illegal to take someone's picture and post on the Internet. What you can't do, is slander them, do anything that puts them in danger, or profit off it. If someone saw the photos and came and beat you, you'd have a case. There's no expectation of privacy, unfortunately.

Look into copyright laws and, especially, a publisher's DMCA process.

You may not be able to sue for damages but, if you own the copyright, you can at least get a site to pull your photograph down.

Important lesson for the ladies....don't be a bitch so your boyfriend won't post naked pix of you online.

This would be a property rights case. Hey, I learned something in college!!!

If they are YOUR pictures he had no right to post them so you'd have a case. The problem is calculating damages and it would take a lawyer and/or specialtist to do that and that would cost $$$. I don't think it would be worth it and most lawyers probably wouldn't take the case becaue they wouldn't win enough money to even cover filing fees.

If they are HIS pictures, whether you gave them to him or let him take pictures of you, they are his property and he can do anything with them.

That's a good point. As an old-time Playboy subscriber back in the day, occasionally nude photographs of otherwise then famous actresses who had posed for photogs to make a few bucks back in their young years found those photos purchased by Hef and published in his magazine. All perfectly legal. Embarrassing for some actresses, perhaps, and definitely having some impact on their image for awhile anyway, but I don't recall of any major lawsuits being successful. However, Carie Otis reportedly sued the producers of the movie 'Wild Orchid' for giving Playboy nude set pictures of her from the production, in violation of her contract. I still have that issue. PMOY Renee Tenison is on the cover.

Hope that helps.
