when a guy says "I can see a future with you." Does that just mean he has begun thinking about a future, but is still not quite at the 100% certain part? And "I see a future with you" is the 'I am 100% certain' way of saying it?

I think they're one and the same. 100% certainty doesn't manifest until he's down on one knee.

Both the same, no one can predict what will happen down the road there is no such thing as 100% certainty with relationships. One may see a future together that future may or may not become a reality based on many factors.

Means the same thing.

I have never had a guy say that to me.

They mean the same thing from my perspective.

I just think it doesn't hold much value.

I agree with this. He can talk the talk, but will he walk the walk? I've had boyfriends say they wanted to marry me, say they wanted to have kids with me, etc etc. Am I married? Nope.

They're the same..

This is some serious over analysing.

I agree with Star.. 100% certainty comes when he's down on one knee.

If there is any possibility of a future there will have been many thousands of other words from which to draw inferences. You need to look at the whole picture, not one isolated sentence.

No difference. The difference comes when he tries to put a ring on it!;)

Anything a guy says will happen in the future is irrelevant...what he is willing to do right now is a whole other thing and really what matters.

I could imagine men around the world right now all making the same promises and saying the same similar things to women in one variation or another, and maybe 20 percent backing it up....and that's a big maybe.

From a woman's perspective, I would invest very little time analyzing and investing in what men say alone.
